Derek Norton, AIA LEED AP
PRINCIPAL
Derek is the managing principal of the firm and is responsible for overall firm operations, client satisfaction, and project design oversight. He joined the firm in 1993 and became a principal in 2005. He has extensive experience designing and managing complex commercial and institutional projects including numerous award-winning churches, synagogues, libraries, schools, and other community focused projects. He has also overseen hundreds of commercial interior workplace projects for a wide range private sector and government clients. Derek is passionate about design and enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues to foster a positive, creative, and collaborative environment to help ensure every project is a success.
When he is not immersed in running an architectural practice, Derek enjoys eating and drinking his way around Europe, cooking great meals for family and friends, and losing money to his buds on the golf course. Derek has Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech.
